Our spell candles will always come in an unscented, dye free version in order to make it as accessible to as many people with sensitivities as possible and also so that you have the ability to dress and add to your candle in any way you’d like! Each candle comes with a Big Moon Magic: Fat Spells for taking up space preview spell for self love and self kindness.

Our all natural, plant based candles are free of Parabens, Pthalates, Synthetic Fragrances, Lead, and harmful ingredients. Not only that, but the SPCA has listed Paraffin, a common type of wax used in most commercial candles which is made from petroleum, as being always toxic to pets. We never use paraffin or palm wax in any of our products. Made with a hand blended formula of soy wax and coconut wax, we’ve chosen to exclude paraffin wax and palm wax entirely. (Wanna Know Why?)
About us: Big moon is the passion of Mara and Clara and comes from many years of fat liberation activism. Together we carry the labels: Transgendered, Woman, Nonbinary, Queer, Fat, Disabled, Neurodivergent, and trying our best!
Clara (she/her) taught herself how to code starting at age 13 and decided to make a career out of it when our son (he/she/them) was born. Mara (they/them) dreamed of being an artist, but was hit with chronic illnesses, one right after the other, including two bouts of long covid, a genetic connective tissue disorder, and multiple autoimmune illnesses. They never thought they’d be able to have any kind of career- until Big Moon became a fully fleshed out idea. Their goal now is to work with marginalized communities to provide the best and most inclusive occult shop possible.
